As the Local Authority for Mental Health, Substance Use Disorder and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Authority for Harris County, The Harris Center works within the community through a large network of partners to share information and resources that contribute to a stronger community, reduce stigma and facilitate access to services. Our goal is to share information that informs the community about with mental health needs, substance use disorder and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. These partnerships and educational opportunities are an important part in securing additional resources and removing barriers to support and recovery.
