The Harris Center is happy to announce the third new location providing Saturday services for adults to enroll in ongoing mental health care. The Southeast location on (5901 Long Dr Houston, TX 77087) is the newest addition to the two other sites providing this service on Saturday: (9401 Southwest Freeway and 3737 Dacoma St Houston, TX 77092). The Southeast Community Service Center will begin enrolling adults on Saturdays starting April 27, 2019.

Adults who have received other services from The Harris Center such as those from our Crisis programs may also come Saturday if they're not already enrolled as a client of our outpatient mental health clinics.

Continuing our goal of increasing access to care, The Harris Center is happy to add a new Saturday location for adults to enroll in ongoing mental health care. The Saturday enrollment service for adults kicked in January this year at our Southwest Community Service Center (9401 Southwest Freeway, Houston). The Northwest Community Service Center will also provide this service starting Saturday, March 23, 2019.

On Thursday, February 4th, Have Shears Will Travel began providing free haircuts to our men and women served at our 6160 location. The RV will return on the first Thursday of every month.
Marcus was the first graduate of the Southwest Adults Clinic Anger Management program completed this course in October. He expressed gratitude for the progress he has made. Marcus shared with us that he is now able to use coping skills.
Save the Date! The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD is hosting a hiring event for our Adult Forensics operational area. This event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at The Harris County Jail.
